Shinrone snowdrops on show this weekend

Garden lovers from across the Midlands are warmly invited to shake off the winter blues and bid a warm welcome to Spring by visiting the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland's Bellafield (R42 NW82) in Shinrone this weekend for their annual Snowdrop Weekend.

The much-anticipated weekend which showcases an abundance of stunning snowdrops takes place from this Friday, February 6 right through to Sunday, February 8, from 11am to 4pm.

Visitors can look forward to entertaining and informative tours of the garden each day at 12 noon and 2pm with head gardener, Paul Smyth, followed by coffee and cakes. There will also be plants, crafts and apple juice from Mount St. Joseph Monastery for sale throughout the weekend, and well behaved social dogs are welcome to come along too.

Snowdrop Weekend is a free event for RHSI members and the charge is €8 per person for non-members.
