Tullamore Stage School Ladies Choir claim first prize in Wales

The Ladies Choir from Tullamore Stage School travelled to the North Wales Choral Festival at the weekend and claimed first prize in the Open category. The choir was formed in September 2022 by its director Regina McCarthy, to provide an opportunity for the ladies of Tullamore and surrounding areas to come together and sing.

Forty members of the one hundred strong choir travelled to the festival and impressed the adjudicators with their performance, in a very high standard competition which included choirs from UK, Wales and Ireland.

The choir was directed by Regina McCarthy and accompanied by Loreta Mackelaite.
