Offaly Arts Office to offer support for local musicians

Offaly Arts Office partners with First Music Contact on new Regional Development Plan Survey for Musicians

Offaly Arts Office has partnered with First Music Contact (FMC) to develop a Regional Development Plan that will support musicians across Offaly and the wider Midlands region.

FMC is Ireland’s leading national organisation for supporting popular musicians, and this project aims to ensure equal access to professional development opportunities for artists throughout the country.

Offaly-based musicians are now being invited to complete a short survey to help the Arts Office understand their needs, challenges and the supports that would best help them develop their music career.

The feedback received will directly shape a series of free online professional development workshops, delivered in March and early April.

These sessions will be tailored specifically to the themes and topics musicians identify in the survey—ensuring the programme is genuinely responsive to local needs.

The online sessions will run from March 9–12 and March 30–April 2, and will include industry advice, expert panels and guidance for musicians at all stages of their careers.

This is an important opportunity for Offaly musicians to have a real say in shaping future supports. The survey takes about five minutes and closes on Friday, February 27. All responses are confidential and anonymised.
