Tullamore star to feature in Dancing with the Stars 100th episode this Sunday

Tullamore star Tolu Makay will feature in the 100th episode of popular dance competition show Dancing With The Stars this Sunday.

Seven All-Stars will return to the ballroom as part of a never-before-seen twist. This week, each of the seven couples will be mentored by a contestant from one of the previous eight seasons.

The couples will be challenged with having to redo, reimagine and reinterpret some of the All-Stars’ most iconic dances from their season.

Although not actually dancing on the night, each mentor will visit their couple in the rehearsal room to advise them during the week and will also be on-hand live on Sunday to cheer them on.

Since Dancing with the Stars burst onto screens in January 2017, the show has seen over 100 celebrities do over 1,000 dances and this weekend we look back on some of the most memorable moments of all.

Singer-songwriter Tolü Makay and her pro dancer Maciej Zieba will be shown how to bring extra attitude to the floor by Season Seven finalist, Blu Hydrangea. The RuPaul’s Drag Race winner will be teaching Tolü to Tango as she takes on her memorable Week 3 routine to Lady Gaga’s “Applause”.

If that wasn’t enough nostalgia the audience will be filled with former Dancing with the Stars alumni from the previous eight seasons, who will also give some of their favourite moments from the last decade of dance.

The two couples with the lowest combined points from the judges and public will face-off against each other in the Dance-Off.

Dancing with the Stars returns Sunday at 6:30pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
