Tullamore window display competition launched for upcoming Tradfest
Tullamore Tradfest, the popular annual celebration of traditional Irish music, returns next month, when it will take place from Friday, March 27, to Sunday, March 29.
One of the initiatives around the event this year is a window display competition, sponsored by Tullamore Credit Union, with the overall winner being awarded a €250 donation to a charity of their choice.
"This is a wonderful initiative that will also enhance the traditional music atmosphere throughout the town over the weekend," said the Tullamore Tradfest organisers.
"We encourage you to dust off those old instruments, dancing shoes, and similar items, and showcase them in your shop windows. Your support would be greatly appreciated."
One of the main aims of Tullamore Tradfest is to attract visitors from around the county, country and abroad to the town giving local tourism and businesses a boost.
The festival is growing year-on-year and last year it drew attendees from all 32 counties and 11 different countries.
Tullamore Tradfest 2026 promises to be great weekend with concerts, workshops, Recitals, Session Trail, Gig Rig, Inclusion Sessions and Bridge Shopping Centre Stage, along with various other events over the weekend including over 15 venues, over 400 musicians and artists providing over 150 hours for free entertainment for all the family.
