Ireland's oldest woman from Coolderry receives visit from Daniel O'Donnell
Ireland's oldest woman, Nell Hynes from Coolderry, has received a whirlwind visit from country music legend Daniel O'Donnell.
Nell celebrated her 109th birthday on December 15, having been born in the year 1916. She has been Ireland's oldest person since July 2025.
"I dropped by to see Nell Hynes," Daniel said.
"Nell is the oldest person in Ireland at 109 yearrs old. Such a pleasure to meet her."
Nell's neighbour Maureen Hanley is also a centernarian having celebrated her 101st birthday in October 6.
