WATCH: Viral clips resurface of Ireland's oldest man Paddy Claffey from Offaly
Ferbane man Paddy Claffey has been making headlines across the country as Ireland's Oldest Man prepares to lead the Clara St Patrick's Day parade.
Clips have now resurfaced online of the 104-year-old living life to the fullest. Originally shared by Paddy's grandson Shane Rooney, the videos have amassed a total of 524.9k views on video sharing platform TikTok.
One clip from 2022 shows "hardy" Paddy "driving quads and turning turf" much to the delight of viewers.
"I bet he can tell some stories," said one commenter. "Isn't that just beautiful," another added. "He is one lucky man to have the health."
A third commenter said: "[He's] definitely a country man turning his turf. Say he was a hard working man all his life."
Another clip hears Paddy reciting the same prayer he's been saying for over 95 years, "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" a popular bedtime prayer.
The final clip shared in 2023 shows Paddy shopping on DoneDeal.
"[You can] take the man out of the mart, but never take the mart out of the man," Shane wrote on the video. "[He's] still mad for buying!"
Sharing his pride for his grandad's national recognition, Shane said he is "very proud of this legend".
"Even with me in Australia, I’m on FaceTime with him every night not a bother. Longing for the day I get home.
"Until then though, this has made me immensely proud of this man!"
