Banagher parade will be a community occasion

Banagher's St Patrick's Day Parade will take place on Tuesday, March 17, kicking off at 3pm. It will be led by Offaly Search & Rescue.

Local band Rise n Shine will be performing on stage from 2pm on the day, with St Rynagh's Girl Guides on site at Banagher Town Library from 2pm to 4pm, selling five flavours of their delicious cookies.There will also be face-painting, as well as the return of the schools colouring competition.

Prizes will be presented on the day for best underage group, most original entry, best float, best vintage car, best vintage tractor, and, of course, for the overall winner.

For those standing on the sidelines, you're still in with a chance to win, with prizes going for best window display, best dressed spectator (child and adult) and best dressed pet.
