Public meeting in Banagher this evening to set up community alert group

A public meeting is due to take place in Banagher this evening (Friday) with the aim of establishing a community alert committee for the area.

Organisers said the meeting, which will take place in the Crank House, Banagher, at 7.30pm this evening, was convened in response to a recent rise in crime locally.

A notice about the meeting said its aim "is to establish a community alert committee to help keep residents informed about activity in the area and to strengthen communication within the community".

All are welcome to attend the meeting this evening.
