Plans lodged for 22 new homes in Ferbane

Midlands construction company Droughill Builders Ltd has submitted a planning application to Offaly County Council for the construction of 22 new residential units in Ferbane.

The proposed development, which is on lands next to the existing Mill Race housing estate, comprises a mix of semi-detached and terraced two-storey house types, with new road and footpath connections to the adjoining estate. The planning application was received by the local authority on March 8.

The planning application includes a proposal to transfer four of the new units to Offaly County Council for social or affordable housing, under the 'Part V' planning requirement.

A decision on the proposed housing development is expected from Offaly County Council by Saturday, May 2 next.
