Ferbane based club announces exciting soccer programme for children with disabilities

An Offaly soccer club is launching a new inclusive football programme for children with disablities.

Gallen Utd FC, based in Ferbane, is looking for expressions of interest in the project from potential participants, coaches and volunteers, as they bid to get the initiative up and running as soon as possible.

The football club said that it is proud to launch its Football For All Prohgramme, which they want to be fun, safe and welcoming for children of all abilities.

Children with disabilities of all abilities are welcome, said the club, and they require no prior experience of the game to join. The club is also seeking the assistance of coaches, either qualified or aspiring, who have a clear passion for inclusive sport. Full training and support will be provided to the coaches. Also, the club would like to have many parents, students and community members involved to help 'create a positive and supportive environment'.
