WATCH: New otter-ly adorable mascot for Offaly Climate Action

Offaly County Council's Climate Action group have revealed a new otter-ly adorable mascot.

The "Offaly Otter" is designed to be playful and energetic, and focuses on promoting environmental protection and local sustainability initiatives.

He made his public debut at the Tullamore St. Patrick's Day Parade, but promises to make appearances around the county very soon.

Offaly County Council's Climate Action group was established in 2023, including a Climate Action Coordinator, Climate Action Officer, and Community Climate Action Officer.

The group aims to drive forward the Climate Action Plan 2024-2029, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 51% and improve energy efficiency by 50% in local operations.
