Gardening themed presentation to be held in Tullamore

The Offaly Climate & Biodiversity Action Group is preparing to host the first of its upcoming gardening themed presentations on next Thursday, April 9.

Its first presentation is called 'Ungardening for Biodiversity' and will be presented by Ricky Whelan, Offaly County Council Biodiversity Officer. It will take place upstairs at Tullamore library at 6pm and entry to the presentation is free of charge.

The talk will explores how simple changes in the way that people garden can make a big difference for wildlife. It will look at practical ways to create habitats for birds, bees, bats and other species by choosing the right plants, reducing chemicals and providing food and shelter throughout the year.

Those interested in the discussion are advised that it promises to be a helpful talk whether they have a large garden or small space, and will show how anyone can help support biodiversity right outside their door.
