Special guest appears at 'memorable' Easter fun run in Shannon Harbour

A very special guest Benny the Bunny made an appearance at the Easter fun run event in Shannon Harbour over on Sunday, April 5.

The Shannon Harbour Community Association committee organised a 4km walk from “The Harbour” to lock 36, with over 80 people attending the event.

Michael Lyons, Chairperson Patrick Kenny, Ruth Lynch, Margaret Lyons, Shirley, McIntyre, Dermot McIntyre, Darren Joyce, Niamh Devitt of The Harbourmasters House, and Jackie Gleeson were credited for their efforts.

There was a Chocolate Treasure Trove on the day for the children, with each child receiving a bag of chocolates.

More treats were up for grabs at the Easter Egg Hunt, with a special prize of a gold bunny for those who found a boiled eggs.

Finally there was a raffle for an Easter Hamper, with a second and third prize of a large boxed Chocolate Easter Bunny.

The first prize went to Paudie Mooney, who happened to pick his own name out of the hat. The second and third prizes were won by Alfie Flannery and Paudie Lynch.
