Bridie wins top prize in Tullamore Camera Club's "Close up" competition
Bridie Roe took home the top prize in Tullamore Camera Club's March competition, titled "close up".
She came in first place with her beautifully lit shot of a rose.
Josie Corcoran's capture of a furtive peacock hidden amongst the foliage was voted in second place by the members on the night.
The Committee selected Rita Gannon's clever interpretation of the theme, a globe and magnifying glass, as the wild card of the month.
Finally, guest judge, Fionnuala Parnell chose Jackie Morrissey's atmospheric shot of a frozen drop on a church gate.
Tullamore Camera Club is a friendly group of mixed ability camera enthusiasts which usually meets in the Offaly History Centre, R35 Y5V0, on the last Thursday of the month.
Its next meeting takes place on Thursday, April 30, at 8pm. All are welcome, no previous experience required.
