Offaly duo named on Team of the League

Two Offaly LGFA players have been selected on the Lidl NFL Division 4 Team of the League.

Nicole Buckley and Caoimhe Lynam are the two Offaly players named on the team in recognition of their performances during the league campaign this spring.

Buckley, who plays for Naomh Ciarán, has been chosen at left corner-back, with Lynam of St Manchan's at number 15.

Having endured some poor results and considerable challenges off the pitch in recent times, Offaly have shown improvement this year. Gavin Doyle's side finished in the top four of Division 4 and this earned them a place in the semi-finals where they lost out to eventual champions Carlow.

Carlow are represented on the Division 4 team with eight players, followed by four from runners-up Leitrim, who will also play Division 3 football in 2027.

Offaly and fellow semi-finalists Sligo also gain recognition, with the aforementioned two players from Offaly joined by one from Sligo
