One hundred parkruns for Monica

It was a bright and sunny morning, with scattered showers, for this week's Mountlucas parkrun.

The morning's event was further brightened by the addition of a wide selection of treats and baked foods, organised by Monica Carty. Monica completed her 100th parkrun on the day and was cheered across the finish line by a large crowd of friends and other parkrun attendees as she ran through the special "100 parkruns" finish banner. Monica has been taking part in Mountlucas parkrun since 2023 and has been building towards this significant milestone ever since.

Mountlucas parkrun takes place at Bord na Móna Mountlucas windfarm every Saturday morning at 9.30am sharp. There's something for everyone at Mountlucas parkrun whether you want to walk, run, volunteer or just meet new people.
