Offaly GAA superfan nominated for April's 'moment of the championship'
One of the biggest GAA fans in the country, Offaly's Mick McDonagh, has earned a nomination for a 'moments of the championship' social media accolade.
Championship sponsors AIB are calling for 'moments of the championship' nominations on its Instagram and WhatsApp channels,
It said these are "aimed at celebrating the true spirit of Gaelic Games - those unforgettable instances of support, inclusion, and belonging by members of the backroom team and the supporters that allow our players to represent their counties with such distinction".
For the month of April, Mick McDonagh was nominated after the Faithful fan was spotted in the stands during the meeting of Clare and Kerry in the Munster football championship.
The other two 'moments' nominated for April were Conor Laverty crediting the Down squad for "putting their lives on hold", and Roscommon manager Mark Dowd praising fans for getting behind and supporting the Rossies.
The winning moment will be chosen by public vote on AIB GAA’s WhatsApp Channel: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vay39CV2ZjCo7oS9Nc2C
