Tributes paid after passing of popular local DJ
Tributes have been paid this week following the passing of popular Midlands' man Aaron Culleton, who was well-known in Offaly through his prominence as a talented DJ.
A resident of Coolaboughlan, Clonaslee, Laois, Aaron passed away suddenly on April 27 at his residence.
The Central Hotel Tullamore, where Aaron performed since 2016, before going on to have mixes featured on national radio, described him as "more than just someone we worked with".
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague and dear friend. Aaron was more than just someone we worked with - he was a constant source of kindness, encouragement, and quiet strength in our daily lives," said the hotel in a tribute.
"His presence brought warmth to even the busiest of days, and his willingness to help others never went unnoticed. Whether through a thoughtful word, a shared laugh, or his unwavering support, he made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
"Beyond his professional contributions, the compassion he showed, the friendships he built, and the genuine care he extended to those around him ensures his absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his memory will continue to guide and inspire us.
"Our thoughts are with Aaron's family, loved ones, and all who are grieving his profound loss. May we carry forward the kindness and spirit he shared so freely," it added.
Clonaslee Utd FC, meanwhile, where Aaron played soccer, said: "Sincere sympathies to Aaron's mother Ber and his brother Conor and all the extended family on the very sad passing of Aaron. 'Azza' will always be remembered as a quality player and an even better team-mate by everyone in our club."
Aaron was also renowned for his work as a promoter with his company 'Top Secret Events'.
He will be sadly missed by his mother Bernadette and brother Conor as well as his aunt Geraldine, cousins Ronan, Corrinne and Ewan, work colleagues, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Aaron's reposal took place at The Heritage Centre, Main Street, Clonaslee on Wednesday, April 29, with funeral Mass taking place on Friday, May 1 at St Manman's Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St Manman's Cemetery.
May he rest in peace.
