Accessible Counselling Tullamore hails charity cycle by 78-year-old

Accessible Counselling Tullamore (ACT) has hailed the achievement of 78-year-old Tullamore man Mickey Flanagan, who recently successfully completed a cycle from Waterford to Dungarvan last weekend in support of the charity.

At 78 and fit as a fiddle, Mickey continues to inspire everyone around him with his determination, positivity, and community spirit. This year marked his fourth year taking on a cycling challenge in aid of ACT, showing once again that age is no barrier when it comes to supporting others.

The cycle not only helps to raise vital funds for ACT, but also helps to shine a light on the importance of community, connection, and supporting those who may be struggling.

“Mickey is an inspiration to us all,” said Lisa O’Connor, Operations Manager at ACT. “His kindness, commitment, and energy are truly remarkable. We are so grateful for his continued support and for the awareness he helps raise for mental health in our community.”

ACT also wishes to thank everyone who supported Mickey along the route and donated to the fundraiser.

Donations can still be made via: https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/fundraiserforact7

Every contribution helps ACT continue providing accessible counselling and psychotherapy to people over 16 from across the Midlands.
