Plans for change of use of pub in Ferbane

Plans have been lodged for the conversion of a pub in Ferbane into residential accommodation.

Offaly County Council has been asked to approve the development, consisting of the change of use of ‘The Cosy Bar’ on Main Street, from a public house to residential accommodation, including internal reconfiguration and interior renovations to both the first and second floor, and the demolition of the existing rear single-storey section and its replacement with a new two-storey extension to the rear of the building.

The application was made by Eddie Dooley and a decision is due from council planners by July 21.
