Over 50 Offaly children living in emergency accommodation at end of May
Recent figures by Offaly County Council show over 50 children are currently living in emergency accommodation in the county.
The figures released in the local authority's Monthly Management Report show that 49 single people, 21 couples or families comprising 31 adults and 53 children were being supported in emergency accommodation at the end of May.
In addition, a total of 600 people were on the Social Housing Support List at the end of May.
A further 357 active tenancies which are being supported under the Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) Scheme.
