Launch of Offaly Pride 2026 to take place in Birr

A special launch night for Offaly Pride 2026 will be held in Birr today (Friday).

The event takes place on at 7pm at Dooley’s Hotel in Emmet Square.

It marks the unveiling of the full Pride weekend programme, which will run from Thursday, July 16, to Sunday, July 19.

Organisers say the evening is intended as a relaxed and inclusive community gathering, bringing together sponsors, local businesses, volunteers, LGBTQ+ community members, and allies who contribute to the annual celebration.

Guests attending the launch can expect live music, finger food, and a drag performance, alongside opportunities to hear more about the planned events for Pride weekend.
