Offaly County Council to take Edenderry estate in charge

Offaly County Council is taking Eden Court private housing estate in Edenderry in charge.

Eden Court consists of 10 residential units, and is located off JKL Street (R402) in Edenderry town.

The estate is situated within an area zoned as ‘existing residential’ under the Offaly County Council Development Plan 2021–2027.

The estate, which was developed during the late 1990s and early 2000s, is described as a well-established and mature residential development that has been reasonably well maintained.

A review of the estate found that key infrastructure, including roads, footpaths, landscaping, and car parking areas, has been completed. Public lighting is also in place throughout the development.

The taking in charge process will see responsibility for the estate’s public areas and associated infrastructure transferred to the local authority.
