Tolu Makay announces Esker Arts live date

Tullamore singer-songwriter Tolu Makay has announced a live date at Esker Arts, on Friday, October 9, as part of her 2026 Irish tour.

The Nigerian-Irish music artist has performed across Europe and the US. Highlights include opening for Disclosure at Guinness’ inaugural festival, supporting Gabrielle in the 3 Arena, starring in an RTE documentary alongside Lewis Capaldi and Niall Horan, and performing for the then President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins, at his 80th birthday.

Her song 'Aye' was featured in the series 'Conversations with Friends'. She has also featured on The Late Late Show, The Tommy Tiernan Show and Dancing with the Stars in 2026 where she made it to the final.

Her breakout moment came from a cover of the Saw Doctors song 'N17' that went viral and led to her performing in the John F. Kennedy centre in Washington.

In 2025, Tolü released her EP 'People Still Cry in the Summer', following which she announced her Irish tour.
