Leinster glory for talented Tullamore golfers

There was delight for Tullamore Golf Club last weekend as its senior women's team captured the AIG Leinster Central Cup at Carlow Golf Club.

On its way to victory, Tullamore secured a memorable victory against Wexford thanks to the performances of Ella Cantwell, Catherine Gunning, Una Marsden, Ella Grennan and Eilis O'Connell.

Kilkenny would provide the opposition in the final, where Cantwell, Marsden, Grennan and O'Connell was joined on the team by Richelle O'Neill, and they recorded a 5-3 win to secure the honours. Claire Hinch was also part of the Tullamore squad.

The team was joined on the day by the club lady captain Patricia Mahon and team manager Fiona Flanagan, as well as many supporters.
