'Rugs on the Green' gathering a big success in Killeigh

Killeigh Tidy Towns hosted its second annual 'Rugs on the Green' community gathering last Saturday, which was hailed as a fantastic success.

The family event is a picnic-style social evening in the heart of the village, with plenty of food and craic.

Between 6pm and 9pm on Saturday locals were invited to bring their own picnic blanket and enjoy a BBQ, ice cream, music, and family fun.

In a message thanking those who supported it, Killeigh Tidy Towns said: "A very special thank you goes to our amazing organisers and all the volunteers who helped before, during and after the event.

"From setting up and organising activities to keeping everything running smoothly, every contribution was hugely appreciated."

A clean-up took place on Sunday morning, and afterwards the organisers already began turning their attention to the planning of 'Rugs on the Green 3'!
