“Heartbroken" Mundy pays tribute following mother’s death

Birr singer-songwriter Mundy has paid tribute after the passing of his mother Antoinette Enright (née Donlon).

Antoinette passed peacefully in her 85th year on Thursday, October 1.

"My dear mum has passed and I’m sorry to tell you that. I couldn’t have asked for a better mother," Mundy wrote in a post on Sunday evening.

"She was unique and was everything a woman could be. I could write forever about her but my heart is broken."

Predeceased by her husband Edward (Eddie), her brother Tommy-Noel and sisters Mary and Marguerite.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons Niall and Edmond (Mundy), daughter-in-law Sarah, her adored grandchildren Eden and Belle, her sister Collette Donlon (Dublin), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

She is reposing at Boyd’s Funeral Home, Birr, (R42YF75) on Monday from 5pm to 7pm.

Removal is taking place on Tuesday morning to arrive at St. Brendan’s Church, Birr at 10.45am., for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr.
