Tolü Makay to perform homecoming show in Tullamore
Singer/Songwriter Tolü Makay is taking her new, cinematic, pop soul EP on the road, with a date in Tullamore on Friday.
The People Still Cry in Summer tour is a run of intimate shows across the country. The tour began in Newbridge on October 1 and continues through to a Dublin date on November 26.
People Still Cry in Summer is a show about releasing grief and reclaiming your power, a reminder that you can become exactly who you want to be. For Tolü, it's also a practice she's living in real time, the tour is entirely self-funded, with no label and no management behind it. Every sold-out room is proof of what an artist can build on her own terms.
On Friday, October 9, she performs in Tullamore with support from Micah in the Esker Arts Centre
Raised in Tullamore, Tolü has spent over a decade as a working musician, building a career rooted in Ireland that blends refinement with rawness across music and live performance. The Tullamore date is a homecoming, and with Loughrea and Ballydehob already sold out, audiences are encouraged to book early for the remaining shows.Tickets and full tour information are available here.
