Global wave of light to be celebrated at Tullamore park

Cuidiú Offaly is inviting people to attend Lloyd Town Park, Tullamore on Thursday, October 15 to mark for The Global Wave of Light, a gathering to remember and honour babies and pregnancies lost, and to hold space for everyone whose lives have been touched by pregnancy and infant loss.

Cuidiú said that everyone is welcome to attend the community event, including mothers, fathers, children, grandparents, and no prior involvement with Cuidiú is required to take part.

The Global Wave of Light takes place around the world on October 15, which is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. As candles are lit in different time zones, a wave of light travels around the globe, creating a collective moment of remembrance, love and connection.

Battery-operated tea-lights will be provided for everyone at the Tullamore event.

Cuidiú also said it is grateful to Fiona Dunkin and Dave Hawkins, who will provide music for the evening.

The gathering will begin at Lloyd Town Park from 6.45pm to be ready for 7pm candle lighting.
