New initiative at Tullamore school to help retired people with technology

A novel initiative between retired members of the Tullamore community and Sacred Heart School Transition Year students will commence in early 2027.

The school has announced that retired people will visit the school in January, every Friday, for new computer classes.

Retired participants will work alongside TY students in 'friendly and relaxed' sessions that will focus on them building confidence in technology, from using phones and tablets to emails, the internet, photos, apps and staying connected with family and friends.

No previous experience of technology is required for retired people looking to partake, and the sessions will be one-hour long from 11am to 12noon.
