Over 700 children took part in Midlands Science discovery day in Tullamore
Midlands Science ran a discovery day in Tullamore in association with Integra Life Sciences this week.
Over 700 children took part in workshops exploring slime making and making models of DNA, astronomy, zoology and physics.
Shows from the Science Museum W5 and the Exploration Dome explored everything from physics to planets, The Reptile Zoo allowed the children to get up close and personal with snakes and tarantulas.
Jackie Gorman of Midlands Science commented “it was great to see schools, groups and families attending in such large numbers from across the midlands, this was one of a series of activities across the midlands supported by Research Ireland as part of national Science Week.”
