Tullamore Christmas lights to be switched on this Sunday

The Magic of Christmas is returning to Tullamore this weekend when the town hosts its Christmas market and the switching on of the festive lights.

This year’s Tullamore Christmas Market kicked off on Friday in O'Connor Square and continues throughout the weekend. The market aims to offer everything from handcrafted gifts to artisan produce.

The weekend's festivities will culminate with the spectacular Christmas lights switch-on this Sunday at 6pm where the man himself, Santa, is set to make a special appearance.

Organised entirely by a voluntary committee, the Tullamore Christmas Festival has grown into one of the town’s most loved annual events, attracting thousands of visitors and creating a major boost for local businesses in the run-up to Christmas.

However, the organisers are appealing to local businesses and the wider community to get behind this year’s celebrations by contributing to the Christmas Lights Fund.
