Festive family event to mark start of Christmas in Birr

Christmas on Green Street will mark the start of the festive season in Birr on Saturday afternoon (November 29).

The annual family tradition in the heart of Birr starts at 2pm with an array of festive activities for all the family.

Savour the convivial Christmas atmosphere with carnival rides, a puppet show, face painting and Jess the clown who will provide the festive cheer for the children.

Live music entertainment will be provided by local band SOS from 5.30pm with the guests of honour, Santa and Mrs Claus arriving to turn on the Christmas lights and ensure the town is festively aglow for the season.
