Offaly runner signs professional contract with New Balance

Tullamore Harriers club member James Dunne recently signed a professional contract with New Balance and joined the Team New Balance group based in Manchester, UK.

The Ballycommon man previously studied on a sports scholarship at Adams State University in the United States and later at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C..

He has been a member of Tullamore Harriers since early childhood, where he has been consistently supported by his coaches and fellow club members.

Irish gold medalist Ciara Mageean is also a member of Team New Balance Manchester, the professional running team led by coach Steve Vernon.

The team, which includes elite distance runners from various countries, lives and trains together, supported by New Balance. Their training facilities include a house in Marple Bridge and the Woodbank Park track in Stockport.
