Three Offaly organisations receive philanthropic funding
The Ireland Funds, the global philanthropic network, has awarded funding to three organisations in Offaly.
The Offaly recipients of this year’s Heart of the Community Fund include Midlands Science, Offaly Domestic Violence Support Service and Accessible Counselling, Tullamore.
The funding will empower a wide array of programmes that provide vital services and strengthen communities.

Offaly Domestic Violence Support Service supports victims of domestic abuse through helplines, outreach, court accompaniment, and education programmes, and offers services for children and adults across Offaly, while Accessible Counselling Tullamore (ACT) is a community counselling centre based in Tullamore that addresses the need for people in the Midlands to be able to access counselling that is professional, affordable and timely.
The Heart of the Community Fund is awarding USD750,000 to 62 organisations in 15 counties across the Republic of Ireland. Grants will range from €5,000 to €25,000. Made possible by philanthropic gifts and fundraising events of The Ireland Funds America, the largest of the 12 international chapters of The Ireland Funds, these grants exemplify the power of collective giving.
