Cloghan-based Hugo Loonam Motors has significantly bolstered its Midlands presence after being appointed as an official Isuzu dealer, bringing the highly respected Isuzu D-Max 4x4 pickup range to a market where demand for tough, reliable work-vehicles continues to grow, particularly among agricultural and rural business operators.

The franchise appointment brings the Isuzu brand to a diverse range of industries in Offaly and beyond; a region where the Hugo Loonam name has deep roots and a proven reputation. The Isuzu D-Max brings reliable 4x4 pickups to customers who rely on robust vehicles for daily use in challenging environments.

The dealership employs 25 staff operating from a modern facility equipped with a seven-vehicle showroom, eight workshop lifts, pallet-bays and a photographic area. While based in a small Midlands village, the business attracts customers from Athlone, Tullamore, and surrounding areas, driven by competitive labour rates, loyalty incentives and commitment to delivering first-class service; hallmarks of its customer-first philosophy.

Founded in 2013, Hugo Loonam Motors has continually evolved to meet customer needs. Dealer Principal Hugo Loonam began his career as a mechanic before progressing into technical support roles, working with Peugeot Ireland, and subsequently establishing a Peugeot and Citroën franchise. Suzuki was later added to the portfolio, and now Isuzu joins the lineup to address a clear market requirement for strong, dependable vehicles.
