Lusmagh Christmas Tractor Run takes place this Sunday
The second annual Christmas Tractor Run organised by Lusmagh Community Development Association will take place this Sunday, December 21.
Registration will be held from 3.30pm at the Lusmagh Hurling Club grounds, with the tractor run itself starting at 6pm.
The route for the event will be through Lusmagh parish and and surrounding areas, and into Banagher. The tractors will be decorated in Christmas lights, creating a festive atmosphere, and family-friendly entertainment is planned.
Organisers said the event has quickly become a highlight of the parish calendar.
Last year it welcomed over 70 tractors, all lit up and seasonally decorated, creating a festive spectacle that brought families, neighbours, and visitors together.
This year's turnout promises to be even bigger, and a kids' mini tractor run is also planned prior to the main tractor run.
"The tractor run is part of our ongoing work to strengthen community spirit in Lusmagh," said the local community development association.
"Throughout 2024, our organisation has been focused on developing community initiatives including our new community garden, supporting new local groups, such as a book club, craft club, walking and running groups. We have also been progressing plans for a future playground in the parish.
"We have also hosted a variety of successful events this year, an Easter walk, a family fun day, and a table quiz, that have helped bring people of all ages together," it added.
