Daingean GAA submit plans for substantial club development

The trustees of Daingean GAA Club have submitted a planning application to Offaly County Council for a substantial development at Townparks, Philipstown.

The proposed development includes the construction of a new sports pitch, complete with a viewing stand, eight floodlights, toilet block and storage area.

A second viewing stand has also been proposed as part of plans submitted to the local authority and will be located at the existing main sports pitch to the south of the site, consisting of a toilet block and storage area.

Permission has also been sought from the trustees of Daingean GAA to connect to the main foul sewage on site.

The planning application was submitted to Offaly County Council on December 18 with a decision on the proposed development expected on February 20 2026.
