Freezing temperatures expected in region
A low temperature and ice warning has been issued for Offaly and surrounding counties on Saturday and Sunday nights.
Met Éireann today said temperatures would fall to between -2 and -4 degrees in may areas with sharp or severe frost and icy stretches.
The affected counties are Carlow, Clare, Cork, Dublin, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow
The yellow warning comes into effect at 6pm on Saturday and expires on Sunday at 11am. It then also applies for Sunday at 6pm to Monday at 11am.
