Freezing temperatures to remain throughout day
Temperatures are unlikely to reach above freezing until early Tuesday morning.
That's according to Met Éireann who this morning issued low temperature and ice warning for 22 counties, including Westmeath, Roscommon, Offaly and Longford.
The forecaster says temperatures will remain between -1 and -3 degrees generally through Monday, until 9am on Tuesday.
It warns of sharp frost and icy stretches and black ice.
The affected counties are Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow
