Man arrested in Edenderry murder probe is released without charge
A man arrested yesterday in connection with the fatal arson attack in Edenderry has been released without charge.
Gardai say a file will now be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Gardai had arrested the man in his 20s on Wednesday morning as part of their investigation into last month's arson attack in Edenderry which resulted in the deaths of four-year-old Tadgh Farrell and his 60-year-old grand aunt Mary Holt.
An extensive Garda investigation based out of Tullamore Garda Station has been underway since the shocking attack occurred on December 6.
Following his arrest, the man had been detained on suspicion of murder under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the Midlands.
Gardai said this afternoon that he has been released without charge.
