Izuchukwu added to Ireland's Six Nations squad
Tullamore native Cormac Izuchukwu has been called up to the Ireland rugby squad for the 2026 Six Nations Championship.
The Ulster lock forward has been added to Andy Farrell's squad as a replacement for Munster's Tom Aherne, who was forced to withdraw from international duties with a neck injury.
Izuchukwu made his Ireland senior debut against Fiji in the November 2024 test series and in doing so became the first man from Offaly to play rugby for Ireland at senior level.
The Ireland squad have departed for Quinta do Lago in Portugal for a warm-weather training camp in advance of the competition.
Ireland open their 2026 Six Nations Championship against France at the Stade de France on Thursday, February 5, at 8.10pm.
