Council “actively responding” to Offaly road defects caused by wet January

Persistent rainfall throughout January has placed considerable strain on the road network in Offaly, the council have said.

Wet condition have contributed to an increase in road surface defects and reactive repairs, and deterioration across vulnerable routes.

Offaly County Council maintenance teams are “actively responding” to these road conditions and carrying out targeted repairs.
