Offaly Green Conference in Tullamore to showcase future of renewable energy
The new Offaly Green Conference is set to take place later this month.
The event, taking place on Wednesday, February 25, from 9am to 12:30pm in Tullamore Court Hotel, is designed as a key showcase of Offaly's leadership in the national renewable-energy transition.
Offaly is at the forefront of Ireland’s renewable energy transition. With more than 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects now operational or in development, the county has become one of Ireland’s top four wind‑generating regions.
Offaly also has the potential to deliver up to 11% of national onshore wind targets, 12% of solar capacity, and 11% of battery storage under the National Climate Action Plan.
The half-day conference will bring together industry leaders, academics, policy makers, and key stakeholders to examine both the progress made to date and the significant infrastructural opportunities that lie ahead.
Discussions will focus on how renewable energy can deliver long-term economic development, attract future investment, and create sustainable benefits for current and future generations across the Midlands.
This is a free event, and lunch will be provided. To book, go to: https://www.localenterprise.ie/offaly/training-events/online-bookings/green-energy-conference-2026.html
