Huge local support for Tubber's Megan O'Hara ahead of Glór Tire semi-final tonight

There has been a huge amount of support locally for Tubber's Megan O'Hara ahead of her appearance on the semi-final of TG4's Glór Tíre tonight (Tuesday).

Some famous faces have shown their support, including Mount Temple singer TR Dallas. Megan also received well wishes from Galway native fiddle player Frankie Gavin, and her Glór Tíre mentor Michael English.

Locally, Megan thanked Screggan's Seamus Moore, also known as The JCB Man, as well as Toni, Eimear, Martin, Mary and all the staff from Martin's pub in Doon, who she said "have been absolutely fantastic throughout this journey".

The semi final will air live tonight from 9.30pm. Joining Megan in the semi final are Darcy Walsh, Paudie Coffey, Dee Morrissey, and Jordan McPolin.

Megan described her experience on the show so far as “madness but in the best possible way".

“It’s absolute madness, but it’s going great so far. It’s a great platform for people to start their journey, especially in the country music scene,” she said.
