Tullamore's Tolu Makay reaches the final of Dancing With The Stars

Tullamore's Tolu Makay has reached the final of Dancing With The Stars, for a chance to take home the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

The local singer songwriter and her pro partner Maciej Zięba danced a Paso Doble to Welcome to the Jungle’ by Guns 'N' Roses. The pair received 36 points.

The remaining five contestants faced an extra challenge. After they performed their individual dance, each couple danced for a second time in a ‘Time Machine Trio’, where they were joined on the floor by a second professional dancer.

Tolu and Maciej then danced a Jive to ‘Tutti Frutti’ by Little Richard alongside pro dancer Stephen Vincent, receiving 35 points.

They received a total of 71 points.

The end result was a Dance Off between Jordan Dargan and Tolu.

"We made it to the finals of Dancing With The Stars. This is the last week and we will keep pushing," Tolu said.

"This has been a huge highlight to my year and I’m so happy I said yes! Thank you all so much for your continued support."
