Dochas to benefit from fundraiser at Tullamore pitch and putt club

Dochas Offaly Cancer Support will be the main beneficiary of funds raised at the 4th annual Michael (Hippo) Bracken memorial tournament, which take place this year on Saturday March 21 next.

The much-loved Tullamore man, who was well known in sporting circles having played for Charleville Kilbeggan United (CK United) for a time in his youth, passed away unexpectedly at his home in March 2022, and his family have honoured his memory ever since by organising an annual fundraising memorial tournament.

This year the Bracken family are kindly raising funds for Dochas who provide such a valuable support service to the local community and surrounding areas. The funds raised will help the team at Dochas provide much needed services to members of the public who require support. The Bracken family hope that by running this great event in Hippo’s name, it will enable the magnificent members of Dochas to continue to care for those who need help.

All support on the day will be greatly appreciated by the Bracken family. .
