Dates confirmed for Offaly senior hurling provincial campaign
The dates and times for all five of the Offaly senior hurling team's Leinster championship fixtures have been confirmed.
The Faithful County will host three fixtures at Glenisk O'Connor Park with the remaining two round robin games to take place in away venues.
Offaly have endured a tough Division 1A league camaign to date but will be hoping that the experience gained from playing the hurling strongholds will stand them in positive stead when the provincial championship starts bext month.
Offaly start their Leinster journey with a home fixture against Dublin on Saturday, April 18, at 6.30pm, with a trip west to play Galway in Pearse Stadium Salthill on Sunday, April 26 (throw-in 3.30pm).
Reigning Leinster senior hurling champions Kilkenny visit Tullamore on Sunday, May 10, for a 3pm throw-in, before Offaly play their penultimate round robin fixture against Wexford on Saturday, May 16, at 6pm, in Glenisk O'Connor Park.
Johnny Kelly's players complete their provincial campaign with what could prove a pivotal game when they visit to St Conleth's Park on Sunday, May 24, to play Kildare at 2pm.
Having already been relegated to Division 1B for next year, Offaly complete their National Hurling League Division 1A campaign with a trip to Páirc Uí Chaoimh to play Cork on Saturday, March 21, at 7pm.
