Killeigh are crowned U18 Women's Champions

Huge congratulations are in order for the U18 team from Killeigh FC who were crowned as CCFL U18 Women’s Champions at the weekend.

Goals from Niamh Power, Kayla Lawlor, and Diana Sikora sealed a fantastic win against Ballyjamesduff on Saturday, which ensured the young players would claim the CCFL U18 title.

The win for the U18 ladies team is made all the more special considering this is their first year to step up to this age group, marking an important step in building a strong pathway through to the senior ladies side.

In a Facebook post, Killeigh Football Club paid warm tribute to the team and said the winning of the CCFL title is " a true reflection of the incredible squad effort shown throughout the entire season."

In wishing the team continued success for the remainder of the season, Killeigh Football Club said it was "incredibly proud" of the U18 women's team and " excited for what lies ahead."
